Greetings, and welcome back!
We at the Great Western Arms are thrilled to finally be able to open our doors and get back to what do best. Our commitment to your enjoyment of our fab food and smooth service has motivated us over this tough period and we’re excited to see you all again. As we push forward and try to return to normalcy, we want you, our customers, to know that we’re undertaking every precaution we can to ensure the health and safety of our patrons and staff. Below we have listed some of the ways your visit will be impacted by our Covid-19 response, as suggested in the government’s guidance.
- We will make sure we greet each customer at the bar, where we can help each group to their tables, and let them know about our Covid-19 procedures. Please wait if a group is already at the bar, we’ll be with you as soon as we can!
- We have made all service strictly table-service for inside our restaurant and in our new, gorgeous beer garden. We want to keep the bar area clear so let us come to you!
- We have implemented multiple hand-sanitation stations throughout our restaurant and bar. We ask all our customers to make use of our hand sanitiser and our staff members will be happy to direct you to your nearest station!
- We have adopted a one-way system through the restaurant. One way in, one way out! It’s simple, easy to follow and avoids crowding at the entrance.
- Our restaurant will look a little different from your last visit, not only have we given our pub a stunning make-over, but we’ve adjusted our seating plan to facilitate the government’s 1 metre minimum social distancing rule, and where we can, we have maintained the full 2 metre social distancing spacing.
- We have adopted easily-to-sanitise menus, condiments, and some of our tableware. This helps avoid common-surface transmission and we’ll be recycling our disposable menus and condiment pots where we can.
- We have changed the way we use the bathrooms; now customers can indicate that the bathroom is in use to avoid any contact in our confined bathroom corridors.
- All of our staff have been briefed fully about our Covid-19 procedures and we will all be taking extra steps to make sure we maintain a safe and comfortable environment for everyone at the GWA. This includes frequent hand sanitising, increased cleaning and hygiene standards and proper steps taken to maximise social distancing between staff and customers. We are happy to show you our complete Covid-19 Risk Assessment, please ask a member of staff for more details.
- We would also like to advise our customers of our commitment to the NHS Test and Track system. We will be asking those who book with us if they consent to our holding of their contact information for 21 days for this purpose.
Feel free to ask a member of staff to see our Covid-19 Risk Assessement for more details about how we're protecting you, and our staff.
We are delighted that so many customers are already showing their faith in us, and making a swift return to the Great Western Arms. Thank you.
